The Iraqi intelligentsia and Contemporary Political Changes (2003-2014)
Abstract
Abstract:-The intelligentsia, with their thoughts opinion, propositions and theorizations, are an effective and influential intellectual reference in society, because they are aware of the interests of their nation and country. They call for a humanitarian project using their cultural tools and based on the language of knowledge and thought. As Iraq faces today challenges, that constituted a critical and difficult turning point in the period (2003- 2014), so, It was necessary for the Iraqi intelligentsia to express their opinion, put forward their ideas, address problems, and prove their positions in these challenges in order to preserve national cohesion, resist the occupier, ward off sectarianism and security breaches, and resist terrorism from abroad and backed from inside, as well as fighting the administrative corruption that has spread in the governmental institutions; health, trade... etc.Key words: The Iraqi intelligentsia, Iraq, the Iraqi press, the American occupation, the Religious Reference.
